Food bank collection brought glad tidings for Crawley Open House
In the final run-up to Christmas, food and clothing donations are making a positive difference for Crawley Open House, thanks to UK Power Networks Services.
Crawley Open House provides support and services for those suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, loneliness, discrimination, or other forms of social exclusion. They are kept busy. In 2023/4 their hostel beds had 98.4% occupancy, 62.8% of hostel residents were resettled or managed to find alternative accommodation, and their outreach workers supported someone sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness on 1,237 occasions.
UK Power Networks Services' Crawley employees often see the need around them all too often. So in the final run-up to Christmas and for the second year running, the Finance Team at Crawley gathered contributions of food and clothing from all over the office. After celebrating another impressive turnout of generosity the team delivered the goodies to Crawley Open House right before Christmas. It was once again very gratefully received by the local charity.
